the difference for us this year. As you know most of our Soldiers
suffer through the loneliness. I even noticed a "tinge" of sadness in my
commander's eyes on Christmas. But having
the personal notes in every
card really was a nice touch. Please tell everyone on your team thank you and all the people
and churches that were involved "thanks" from us in Afghanistan. ”

“I got your thank you card and want to let you know that I appreciated it more than you could
know. I opened it at a low time in my deployment. My wife was having
some worries 
about being alone with our new baby and I was way out here.
Well the problems were resolved through good people like you who expressed gratitude for my service when it sometimes
seems like I am here for no reason. I am thankful to God that my
daughter was born into a world with people like you who write letters to us without expecting anything. Thank you for the kind words at a bad time”
